ControlBuild-Validation is a powerful simulator, designed to provide a realistic model of the operative behavior of electro-mechanical equipment, automation systems, or production & assembly lines.
Prior to physical installation of the control software on the plant and dedicated to the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), ControlBuild-Validation enables users to:

the control software's conformance to the Statement of Work
Test the
entire control software embedded in PLCs, PCs or dedicated hardware (automatic
and manual modes, securities, failure detection, diagnosis, degraded modes,
etc)

High-quality Simulation Models
With ControlBuild-Validation, users can rapidly describe the operative part of the automated system independently of the command control architecture to be tested.
The simulation model is built by assembling ready-made
machine components that are available in the libraries delivered with the tool:
Operative component (electromechanical
equipment, machinery, etc.)
Objects with moving rules
Servo control, regulation and
filters
Energy and information flows
(temperature, pressure, etc.)
Uncertain events or actions (mechanical
failures, breakdowns, operator behavior, etc.)

Users can develop their own components libraries using the IEC 61131.3 languages (Structured Text, Sequential Function Chart, Ladder Diagram, and Function Block Diagram) or the C language.
Graphical views of the entire system can then be built by invoking the graphical models representing equipments or components.
Finally, test requirements (script & scenario) can
also be described and integrated to fully complete the simulation model.

For software testing, ControlBuild-Validation provides several communication
interfaces adapted to the chosen hardware architecture, whether this is a PLC
or a dedicated hardware. The tool supports the Modbus communication protocol
widely used by manufacturers. Other interfaces are also available (3964R, Modbus+,
Profibus DP, Can, World FIP, TCP/IP, OPC...) or can be customized for specific
I/O cards.

Generation of quality documentation
With ControlBuild-Validation, users can effortlessly generate customizable documentation.
Explanations, code descriptions (text and graphics), can be inserted into the
document for all the model elements. Test plans can also be documented in this
way. The documents can be archived and exported as RTF or HTML for standard
commercial editors and navigators.
